Seema H. Siddiqui

Seema joined the firm in 1996 as a partner. Seema specialises in audits and tax planning for both UK and offshore businesses.

She has spent over 25 years advising entrepreneurial and owner managed businesses on everything from ownership structure to strategic growth, exit planning and preparations for sale as well as growth funding and acquisition finance.

She also has extensive experience in inheritance tax planning, trusts and estates.

Seema has a specific focus on supporting real estate investors, developers and land promoters with their structuring, extraction, acquisitions, disposals and fulfilling their tax planning and compliance requirements.

She is experienced in supporting clients in engaging with tax authorities to obtain advance clearance where available. She also handles both voluntary disclosures to HM Revenue & Customs, including worldwide disclosure facility and digital disclosure facility, and complex tax investigations including under Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9.

Fozia M. Muddassir

Partner, Private Client Tax

Fozia joined the firm in 1993. Fozia specialises in all aspects of employment taxes, as well as personal tax planning for resident and non-resident individuals.

She has extensive experience in dealing with unincorporated businesses and statutory compliance. Fozia has a varied client base and advises them on all aspects of their personal tax affairs including overseeing their tax filings, advising them on estate planning matters, and generally ensuring they optimise their tax position.

She has accumulated an in-depth knowledge of owner managed businesses from across a variety of industries and specialises in helping them to define and realise their personal and business goals.

She advises on areas which span financial accounting and administration, digital transformation including cloud accounting systems and processes, management reporting and budgeting, taxation, and employer support.

Omar F. Siddiqui

Partner, Audit and Assurance

Omar joined the firm in 2003. Omar has over 20 years of experience providing audit, assurance, and advisory services to clients across a broad range of business sectors. These businesses range from privately owned entrepreneurial businesses, including start-up, through to international listed companies.

His focus is on supporting business owners, finance teams, and Boards within rapidly growing creative businesses - varying in size, structure, and complexity. He uses his deep understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities faced in the industry to help his clients succeed. He also has extensive transactions experience having worked on many due diligence assignments.

Omar is experienced in IFRS, UK GAAP as well as International and PCAOB Auditing Standards.

He is an experienced business advisory partner and specialises in strategic planning and business support services, advising growing entrepreneurial organisations and providing them with the partner-led service they require to support their growth and achieve their objectives.

Zainab Siddiqi

BSC, MBA, FCA
Partner, Business Tax

Zainab joined the firm in 2008 and brought in previous experience in investment banking. Zainab specialises in assurance reports and corporate tax planning and works closely with FCA regulated businesses.

She advises on matters such as company reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals, profit extraction strategies and provides proactive support through each stage of the lifecycle of the business on a wide range of issues, including tax compliance and reliefs, tax efficient investment structures, and succession planning.

Zainab assists clients with migration and translation between GAAPs, IFRS, conversion to new accounting standards, group accounting and consolidations.

She is experienced in managing complex investigations into cases of tax avoidance and suspected serious tax fraud under HMRC Codes of Practice 8 and Codes of Practice 9. She also advises clients who want to voluntarily disclose tax irregularities including worldwide disclosure facility and digital disclosure facility, as well as obtaining advance HMRC clearance where available.

Abu joined the firm in 1986. Abu specialises in accounting for the legal sector and has developed a solicitors’ accounting and practice management software. With experience gained across a wide range of clients, he understands the unique challenges facing professional services firms and sets out to support them.

He combines his commercial experience and technical knowledge to offer creative and practical advice to clients. He also advises a variety of clients in the not-for-profit sector.

He has extensive experience in financial accounting and administration, digital transformation including cloud accounting systems and processes, management reporting, cash flow forecasting and budgeting.

Muddassir joined the firm in 1992. Muddassir specialises in VAT and customs duties.

He has over 30 years of experience in advising companies on all aspects of customs and excise duties including import and export business set-up.

He has extensive experience in preparing statutory accounts and businesses involved in import and export of commodities.

He also deals with set-up and improvement of accounting systems and processes to meet business needs and maximise effectiveness of operations.
